Garbage and recycling

The City of Toronto Solid Waste Management Services, District 3 is responsible for collecting, transporting, processing, composting and disposing of municipal and some private-sector waste in the Beach. This includes garbage, Blue Bin recyclables, Green Bin organics, yard waste, oversized and metal items.

Pick-up days

There are three curbside collections in the Beach each week, depending on where you live:

Tuesday Day pick-up (most homes): If you live in a single family house with daytime curbside collection, your waste is collected on Tuesday morning.

Monday Night pick-up: If your home, apartment or business fronts onto the North side of Queen St. E., or onto Kingston Rd. or Victoria Park Ave., your waste is collected on Monday night.

Tuesday Night pick-up: If your home, apartment or business fronts onto the South side of Queen St. E., your waste is collected on Tuesday night.
